Hello, all!
As many of my Ustream artcast viewers know, I’ve been working on pages for a new webcomic for some time now. And the time has finally come to let the cat out of the bag and get things rolling.
Escape From Planet Nowhere has been a year in the making. It all began on 28 Jaunary 2009 when I painted a digital illustration featuring a soldier, a child and some menacing looking giant robots. At the time, I was working on getting a different webcomic off of the ground, but my interest waned on that material and I soon abandoned the project. But I couldn’t get the image of the soldier and child out of my head and a story began to percolate on my mental stove. It wasn’t long before I had a graphic novel-length tale that needed to be told and I started to work on developing images that would eventually become Escape From Planet Nowhere.
So, on 7 March 2010, the escape begins.
Between now and then I plan to post more information about the comic, including preliminary sketches, images of pages in progress and even making-of video diaries. And if you visit my artcasts during the Noon show, you may even see me working on pages live.
I hope that everyone bookmarks this page and checks back often. I can’t wait to show you more of the work I’ve been doing on Planet Nowhere.
-Otis
P.S. A big, big “thank you” to Chris Cole for all of the invaluable assistance with the development of this website. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without you.

Awesome, can’t wait to hear more about this. Keep up the great work.
